The clock by Cousins & Sons Bath c1865-83 has an English Fusee movement with platform escapement. The clock movement has been fully restored. The original cream coloured dial, have Arabic numerals for the seconds dial and roman numerals for the dial, and are also in very good original condition. The brass case is in excellent condition and has bevelled glass for the bezel.

The case is made of mahogany with some brass inlay around the lenticle. It also has a brass cast bezel.

The English Fusee Dial Clock has an anchor escapement that was favoured in clocks of this type during the 19th and 20th centuries. It also has a heavy cast brass bezel. The clock is believed to date from 1880 as this is when according to “Post Office London Directories” identifies John Bennett, to have had premises at 64 & 65 Cheapside. The case is made of mahogany.
The clock has been imported from Uruguay and has documentation regarding its history.
